A planned community in south Charlotte developed from the 1990s on, Ballantyne combines golf, greenways and newer homes on larger lots with a growing mixed-use center.
Architecture and homes
Mostly built since the late 1990s: two-story traditional homes, many with bonus rooms and three-car garages, in subdivisions with amenity centers.
Parks and outdoors
Golf, walking trails and greenway connections run through the area, and the Ballantyne Reimagined project is adding parks and an outdoor amphitheater.

Getting around
I-485 and US-521 give quick access to the airport and Uptown, about twenty to thirty minutes away depending on traffic.
