Bungalows, cottages and 1940s brick ranches, plenty of them expanded or rebuilt. Teardown-and-rebuild has brought larger modern farmhouses to some streets.
Getting around
About two miles east of Uptown, and the CityLYNX Gold Line streetcar runs nearby toward the city center.
Shops and dining
Central Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue hold most of the neighborhood's restaurants, bars and independent shops.
